Summer Vacation 2008

We went on a family vacation this year and started the trip out in Washington D.C.. We walked down the Mall and I realized how out of shape I am.
Josh and I have been to D.C. but this is the new World War II Memorial and it was beautiful.

Every fountain we came to Addison wanted to take her shoes off and get in!!!!

Half way down there is a Carousel and it goes really fast. Thank goodness I did not have to ride. I thought Addison and Josh were going to fly off.

Jay and Addison at the duck pond. They love going there and just running. It is fun because they see something new every time. This time baby ducks........lil ducklings!!! They were so cute. Of course Addison put her hands out so that they would come to so she can pet them. She just does not understand why they will not come!!!

July 4th Fun

We enjoyed the 4th with family. We went to Doug, Dawn, and Rendon's house in Sugar Land. It was lots of fun. Addison played dress-up, ate yellow watermelon (it taste just like the red/pink watermelon), swam, and watched a beautiful firework display. She was very excited to see them. This is the first time she stayed awake late enough to see them and it was great to watch the expressions on her face. I love the excitement and joy that she brings to our life.....it truly is wonderful to see the world through her eyes. Everything is so joyful and exciting for her. It reminds me to take time to enjoy life and to love life. I'm a beautiful princess!! Thanks Rendon for letting me dress up.

She loves her cousin!!!

Katherine, Rendon, and Addison were playing resturant in the pool. Rendon played for a little and then Addison and Katherine continued and I just loved it. It was the cutest thing ever to watch them order and pay and eat. I am not sure if you all can understand them but take it from me it was adorable. Enjoy.

The Duck Pond

Ok.......so I got a lot of really great pictures at the duck pond and I am posting a bunch. They are so great!! The pond is a great background for really good pictures. Enjoy! Jessica and Addison are great to sit for all the pictures.

Music Time FUN!!!

Every Wednesday we go to music class with Ms. Maggie and we love it. Addison loves just dancing, singing, and playing the instruments. Jay and Ms. Nicole are in our class and a few other kiddos Addison knows from previous classes!! So much fun.......we love music!!

Grandma, Jessica, and Addison

Grandma and my niece, Jessica came for a little visit and we went to the park and picked some wild flowers. Jessica stayed for a week. She is so so so much help with Addison. She really loves her even when Addison is being mean. Addison is in her MINE, MINE, MINE phase and it is really hard!!! We went to the Duck Pond and took great pictures. It's hard for Addison to sit still, so most pictures are action pictures.

Spots and Jay at the Museum

Addison and Jay went to the Woodlands Children's Museum and had a blast. They were able to play school, pretend to be dentist, doctors and store clerks. They went under sea and dug for dinosaur bones. Addison as you can see in the pictures had a very bad allergic reaction and had spots all over her. It looked horrible and all the Woodland Mom's were staring but Ms. Nicole gave them the evil eye!! It was so much fun that both kids kicked and yelled when we went to leave. Another fun day!!!
